SMK SERI BINTANG SELATAN

                It’s December and it’s school holiday! Have you start preparing for Christmas? Have you bought Christmas cards, ornaments and decorations for your happy Christmas Day? If you haven’t bought all those stuffs that I mentioned just now, so just keep on reading this beautiful post and you’ll get some surprise.J
                On 7th and 8th December 2013, which is this coming Saturday and Sunday, there will be a SHC Christmas Bazaar at Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Interact Club of SMK Seri Bintang Selatan will have a Christmas Sale at there, too. You can also meet some pretty salesgirl at there. The purpose of the sale is to raise fund for animal shelter.
                Interact Club of SMK Seri Bintang Selatan is going to sell Christmas cards which are very beautiful and attractive. And also, they will be selling handmade notebooks, small Christmas tree, cute Christmas sticks and some pretty photo frames. All the things are very nice and the prices are reasonable and affordable for all people. So, you do not have worry about the prices J
                For your information, all the things that be sold during the Christmas Sale are made by the Board of Directors of Interact Club SMK Seri Bintang Selatan. They really pay a lot of effort and hard work on it. So, please go to the Christmas sale and support them by buying the those things. As you buy their things, you are doing charity, too.

Joint Installation 2012/2013



            On the 9th of November 2012 (Friday), a joint installation was held at D-villa Residence (Holiday Villa Apartment Suites), Kuala Lumpur. 6 Interact Clubs and a Youthact Club were involved. 6 participating schools comprised of Sri Garden International (SGI), SMK Seri Bintang Utara (SBU), SMK Seri Bintang Selatan (SBS), SMK Convent Bukit Nanas (CBN), SMK Aminuddin Baki (SAB) and St. John’s Institution (SJI). The purpose of this event was to install the upcoming board of directors of each club for the year 2012/2013.

            The event started off with the registration and arrival of invited guests at 2.30pm. At 3.00pm, it was the arrival of VIPs. The National Anthem and the Interact Song was then sung followed by a speech from the President of the Rotary Club of KL DiRaja, President Chan Kam Fatt. A short roll call was also conducted.

            At 3.45pm, it was the first singing performance by SAB. After that, the installation of the board of directors began. St. John’s Institution was the first school to be installed. This was followed by Sri Garden Interact Club and Sri Garden Youthact Club. Then, SGI took the stage for the second singing performance. The installation was then continued with SMK Aminuddin Baki, SMK Convent Bukit Nanas and SMK Seri Bintang Utara. SMK Seri Bintang Selatan was the last school to be installed.



            The next performance was a dance performed by St. John’s Institution. At 4.30pm, a cake-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the 50th birthday of the founding of Interact Club. Next, souvenirs were given to the VIPs and each invited clubs. Lastly, the event came to an end and refreshments were served. Overall, the event went smoothly without any major issues.
